Album Art Wallpaper - Help, FAQ, and Tips

Main Help

Creating your album art wallpaper is easy. The main form to the right is where most of the options and editing is done. From there you can set the width and height to match your screen's resolution. Then, set the offset for Rows 1 and 2, which alternates back and forth to the bottom of the image. The offset is typically a negative number and causes the tiles on that row to be spaced differently than the other row. A great example is to ser Row 1 Offset at zero and Row 2 Offset at negative (-) half the tile size. Then enter the artist and album name to search for, the tile size for each album cover, and click Update!

Once you start creating your wallpaper with the first album cover, you will see thumbnails for each album below the wallpaper. The little "X" icon lets you delete that album from your wallpaper. You can also click the "Reset" button in the edit form to completely start over.

FAQ and Tips

I get the following error: "Could not find album art" - This means that the particular artist/album you entered is not in the database. We try to continually add to the database, but not every album is guaranteed to be there. See the tips below to help get the best resutls.

Artist/Album Search Tips - To get the most accurate results, the first tip is to be sure and spell the artist and album correctly. Some albums will be found with only part of the titles, but complete titles work best.

Compilations and Soundtracks - Compilation albums or soundtracks are usually found by putting "Various Artists" in the artist field (for example, search for "Various Artists" and "Now 15" to get the Now That's What I Call Music compilation albums).
